Overall, I would look for a better mobile home park in Rosarito and, from the amount of units for sale or rent when we visited, it looks as though a few who live there are looking, too.
We stayed right on the water. Didn't feel like a mobile home, more of a condo feel to it. I would definitely stay here again. Great view of the ocean.
Or bring your own RV, They have 24/7 security around the park. Or you could bring your tent and camp in one of their areas for campers. They also have a nice restaurant and there is a nice swimming pool next to the restaurant. This mobile park is within walking distance of the fish market where they can serve you freshly caught fish. you can also mingle with the locals or just sun bathe by the beach.
This is a nice mobile home park. You can stay for one day, weekend or for months.
Stayed here for a week in March via Airbnb. The unit we rented was four stars but I must give the mobile home park itself three stars.
I went down there 6 weeks before my planed birthday vacation in April. I wanted to see the place and make my reservation in person. I explained that I will be going alone but that on my birthday my family (who lives in Tijuana) would be coming to have birthday BBQ dinner with me. My family consists of my 84 years old mother, 82 years old aunt. My cousin and his wife and 2 adolescent nephews. A planed family dinner, not a loud drinking party. After driving 12 hours with my RV trailer and arriving at the park and setting up my space when I went to give the names of my family members to the office for security to allow them to enter I was told that I rented the space for myself and that I can not have any visitors. WOW I didn't need to drive 12 hours and 500 miles to celebrate my birthday alone by myself. I immediately packed up and left going 20 miles more south I found a beautiful newer RV PARK that happily allowed me to celebrate my birthday with my family. Also at POPOTLA they advertise that they have a swimming pool. But they don't tell you that RVers are not allowed to use the pool, only permanent residents. Save your money and sanity and pass this place up.
There are a few missteps that caused me to dock a couple stars: The property is run down. Streets need repaving. Dogs are allowed here (in mobile homes!) so they yap and growl and live in close quarters. The pool is literally outside the front of the restaurant. This means every patron who enters the eatery will walk past you and the waiters will be staring at you as you swim or lay out. Laying out is all but impossible, at least during the time of year we were there, because the shadow cast over the pool by the restaurant building combined with the fencing on the pool's other side prevents sunlight from hitting the pool area for long. Also, the pool is quite small.
Beautiful place to visit. Ocean views and friendly people. Ready for retirement.
I'll start with the good: It's located on a high embankment that affords you a lovely ocean view and pleasant breeze. The park is gated, with 24/7 security. There is on-site restaurant and bar with an upscale yet casual ambiance.
